The focus is on making healthier changes such as eliminating alcohol with hepatitis C patients and substituting it for another safer drug. The focus is on education and the medical utilization of a natural substance to enhance the lives of seriously ill people. I can also advise people on nutritional and diet lifestyle changes in addition to fasting and eliminating the use of tobacco.

Know Your Medical Marijuana Doctor
Dr. Michael Stern graduated from medical school in 1973 and since 1983 has been a board-certified urologist and urologic surgeon.
Dr. Stern was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in 1995. Due to its progression he chose to discontinue surgery and standard urologic practice.
Dr. Stern served as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine for 11 years (1995 -- 2006).
Helping others has provided Dr. Stern with meaning in his life and so he continues advising patients on lifestyle issues and alternative healthy treatments for a wide variety of diseases.
Dr. Stern currently is the Director of Northwest Healthy Options which predominantly reviews medical records, confirms diagnoses, and authorizes patients in the legal use of medicinal marijuana.
Dr. Stern currently receives $1 a year in monetary compensation for his work at Northwest Healthy Options.
Northwest Healthy Options is a clinic, (under Dr. Stern's direction) that will take profits and distribute them to charitable organizations including The HealthCare Student's Fund started by Dr. Stern to provide free housing to selected healthcare students at Bastyr University.
